Thank you for being here! We're so grateful for all of our amazing customers who have helped bring Janela Bay to life.

Janela Bay was founded in the summer of 2015 in St George, Utah. The founder grew up in Southern California. She was on swim team throughout middle school and she played water polo in high school. She always had a hard time finding modest swimwear and she even sewed many of her own swimsuits growing up. After high school she attended a year of fashion design school before going on to get a degree in Elementary Education. 

After having her first child in 2014, she started sewing again and naturally gravitated towards swimsuits. After developing some designs she decided to try and find suppliers. She found several swimwear suppliers in China and started getting samples.

Our first swim line was released in January of 2016! We had 8 different styles and we started selling online and at women's expos. We opened our first kiosk at University Place in Orem, UT for the Summer of 2016. We were nervous selling swimwear from a kiosk where customers couldn't even try them on, but we discovered that wasn't as big of a problem as we expected. 

The following March of 2017 we opened four kiosks throughout northern Utah! We opened kiosk locations at University Place in Orem, Station Park in Farmington, Fashion Place in Murray and The Shops at South Town in Sandy. By the end of that Summer we decided to try opening a permanent store. We opened our first store at University Place in Orem in November of 2017.

We have since opened 8 other retail stores throughout Utah, Idaho and Arizona with more to come.
